My name is Kathleen Timmermans and I began my writing career at the age of 60 after being introduced to the field of Equine Assisted Therapy. I immediately became a volunteer .... and fell in love.
One night while pondering how I would like to spend the remainder of my life and wishing it could be in Equine Therapy ... I decided to write children's books that address how Equine Therapy helps people.
That's how the very first of a series of books was born with "George The Therapy Horse" being it's main character.
George becomes a Therapy Horse and each book tells the story of his experiences in the world of Equine Therapy and the wonderful people he meets and, ultimately, helps.

Therapy Horse Children's Books has one focus ... to bring awareness to our world of the great need to address health and wellness for people of any age and any illness.
Equine Therapy is one of many methods that supports learning and growth for individuals with physical; emotional; or mental illness.
My hope is to inform at the first level of learning ... through children's books. Not only the children who are suffering, but ALL children. So they might grow up with a mission of their own .. to reach out and help others.
